2017: Designed and advised on Blue Blouse, New Factory of the Eccentric Actor’s tribute to the international movement that introduced living newspapers into factories and workers clubs. Royal Academy and Pushkin House. London. Visual Stress video documents included in the 300th celebration exhibition of the Bluecoat, Liverpool. Helped produce the Fun Day for the Friends of Princes Park, Eastbourne. Advised on the content and designed the publicity for The Life and Death of the Puppet King Richard II, Gregory Gudgeon’s version of the Shakespeare play. Onca. 2016 to present Fun Palaces Day. Creative workshops, short performances, readings, musical interludes and discussion for everyone at the Torriano Meeting House, Kentish Town, London. Hands-on lantern making workshops with Same Sky for Be Free, a three day physical and learning disabled music festival sponsored by Mencap and Golden Lane Housing Trust at Gilwell Park in East London. Basket making instructor alongside the basket weaver Emily Hall at the Glastonbury Festival. 2016-2018 MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise, Central St. Martins, London. Operation Black Antler. 2014: Visited Anhalt Dessau, Germany to research a project on micro states and flexible borders. Designed and assisted with the play AmeriKafka. A Prague Shakespeare Company production based on Kafka’s unfinished novel, adapted and directed by Gregory Gudgeon at the Theatre of the Kolowrat Palace, Prague. Designed and installed The True Value of Materials exhibit for the Material Research Exchange, Ricoh Arena Coventry, the Eco Technology Show, Brighton Centre and at the End of BRIDGE symposium for ECIT Caen. Short residency and exhibition of Therefore, a project in progress at CAC,Brighton. Attended RECIF conference on the impact of artificial reefs on the coastal environment and economy. University of Southampton. Co-ordinated mini symposium about the local effects of artificial reefs. Other related events around Reef, Simon Faithful’s installation, Fabrica, Brighton. Memorial banner and designs for the play ‘Heroines of Revolution’, New Factory of the Eccentric Actor, London. Designed the poster for ‘Tiger of Wrath’ a play about the life of Mikhail Bakunin for the New Factory. Installed Ragged Kingdom, Jamie Reid’s touring retrospective exhibition at Gallery Civica di Modena, Italy.
2013: The True Value of Materials, co-ordinated an exhibition to show uplifting and beautiful uses of sustainable materials for BRIDGE at the University of Brighton gallery. Designed the trophy for the Association of Cinematographers annual award. Built the presidential limousine for a puppet re enactment of the assassination of John Kennedy. Ian Helliwell at The Basement. Brighton. Organised the event programme that ran alongside the exhibition A Cold Hand on a Cold Day. This was the first in a series of end of life projects for Fabrica, Brighton. To get a bit of perspective on the scale of the project I walked from Brighton to Dignitas headquarters in Zurich.
